Just thought people might find this helpful or interesting. According to Asahi Shimbun

“The National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention (NIED) opened its “Site of Earthquake Information Service” ( on July 2 in response to growing public interest in seismic phenomena following the Great East Japan Earthquake last year.”

It has real-time data for the last 24 hours and information on other major seismic events as well. It’s in Japanese but there are a few bits of English, and it’s rather easy to use even if you don’t speak Japanese I would say. See what you think^^
